Shagun Envelopes
31 Oct
Ever tried making your own Shagun envelopes?
These are the Indian "shagun" envelopes, used mainly during the Indian wedding ceremony to give money to the bride and groom and various close family members as a means of a gift or blessing.
However, in a broader perspective, since Shagun envelopes convey love and blessings they are also used as a means to give money during other auspicious occasions, such as engagement ceremonies, griha pravesh baby showers, etc. or even during festivals such as Diwali, raksha bandhan, bhai dooj, dussehra, etc.
The India Inspired Rangoli paper pack is great for making these because it goes with our Indian culture. The colours and the design, are perfect for these occasions.
The size of these envelopes is 7 inches × 3.5 inches which can fit our Indian currency notes.
