Quilled Peony Frame
Hi friends! Today I am on the CraftGully blog with my new DT post - Quilled Peony Frame.
The beauty and grace of Peony flowers have always attracted me. In this project I have used the CraftGully 5mm strips in pastel colours for a softer and natural look.
Technique used in this project is On Edge Quilling.
A plain white cardstock paper was chosen as the base on which I sketched a large Peony with leaves and coloured it. Then the Peony design was cut out and on edge quilling was done along the outlines. After the glue on the outlines had dried, on edge quilling was done inside the petals and leaves.
Fringing technique was used to make the stamens of the flower on which the pollens were glued. For the middle of the flower green coloured tight coiled domes have been used. This has been a big project with a lot of labour involved.
I have used a black frame for the project, as black frame looks more striking and glamorous with a softer coloured Peony.
Made with the best quality strips from CraftGully - this would make a wonderful project for home decor and gifting.
