MDF Tags - A Photo Tutorial
Today I am going to share the tutorial of making MDF tag or book mark using minimal supplies.
Here I am using MDF bases for tags, chalk paints, stencils and tissues from CraftGully.
I started by coloring chalk paints on the tag using a dauber. If you want you can use your brushes also but a dauber gives good texture.
I have used Azure Blue and Pewter Grey for base colour.
Then I took a complimenting decoupage tissue and adhered to the base.
Once it was dry, I sanded the corners to remove the extra tissue and give clean smooth look.
To highlight the design I outlined and highlighted the tissue design with white gel pen.
To add more depth and dimension to the tag, I added some more design to the background using the Trees stencil.
Finally I attached the natural thread and my tag is ready.
