Creating A Simple Memory Art - A Guide
In today’s digital and virtual world, it becomes necessary to have ‘real’ things around to remind you of what is important to you and your family.
Creating small memory keepsakes works great for small nooks and corners to bring a smile to everyone’s face.
Today we have a simple yet super cut memory art.
It's not elaborate and it doesn’t need too many craft supplies either.
For the base you can use any piece of ply/mdf/board that you would have in your stock.
The photograph that you are using will decide the central theme of the memory art. Here is it mounted using 2 different shades of Metallic CardStock.
Using the CraftGully Chevron Stencil and Creative Genie Smooth Texture Paste, we first created the wave like pattern towards the bottom half of the layout.
The good thing about the Creative Genie Smooth Texture Paste that it dries rather quickly, allowing you to complete your projects faster.
The next step was the background colouring. We used the Creative Genie Metallic Gold Acrylic Colour in a dry brush technique over the blue colour. However, we used our fingers and not a ‘brush’.. so much more fun that is!
The little cluster of embellishments you see above, includes Blue Ceramic Flatbacks, Faux Pearl Flatback, Acrylic Beads and the most amazing little Glitter balls.
The MDF Sentiment ‘Love Aways’ was coloured with the Creative Genie Metallic Gold Acrylic Colour to blend with the Blue and Golden theme of the memory art.
A here you have it, a beautiful little memory keepsake of a wonderful times together, ready to be hung up to make you smile :)
