A Card Full Of Christmas
Hello friends, myself Shikha Suyal, a guest designer for CraftGully.
I am pleased to present to you, this beautiful sparkling, yet simple to make Christmas Card using paper quilling.
Paper Quilling or Filigree is an art of rolling paper strips into beautiful shapes. Width of the strips could be from 1mm-10mm. You could choose the one according to your need.
The card is full of Christmas colours. I used very simple quilling shapes in making this card like marquis/ eye shape, tight coils, tear drop, square, honeycomb maze.
Highlights of the card are:
Sparkling snowflakes - Only two shapes are used Marquis & tight coils. Also some sparkle glue is applied over it for the effect.
This one is made with the CraftGully Theme Desert pack
This one is made with the CraftGully Theme Twilight pack
Santa Claus - For the face a big tight coil is used. Moustache is formed of a tear drop shape. Beard is made of maze. Nose & mouth are tight coils. Eyes are tight coils with a little bit of the strip end sticking out. Hair is done with folded fringed strip. For the cap I shaped a loose coil & pasted a fringed tight at the end. On the final piece I applied The Perfect Glaze for the glowing effect.
Decor lights - It includes a basic spiral with a tight coil at end as the light.
In the bottom corner of the card there are leaves with gifts (square shape).
